About Miles

I am an enthusiastic saxophone tutor with 9 years of experience teaching college students. My goal is to make saxophone learning simple, motivating, and enjoyable. I focus on strong basics while encouraging creativity and musical confidence.

Lessons include tone building, breathing exercises, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and expressive playing. Improvisation is introduced gradually to help students explore their musical voice. Real-world examples help students connect practice with real performances.

I use recording reviews, guided practice routines, and play-along tracks to track progress clearly. Music theory, ear training, and sight-reading are included for complete musical understanding.

I aim to help students enjoy music learning while developing long-term skills and confidence.

About the lesson

My Saxophone teaching style is based on creativity, mentorship, and clear structure. I believe learning music should be enjoyable and meaningful. Lessons focus on proper breathing, tone control, embouchure strength, finger movement, articulation, and rhythm accuracy.

Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, sound exploration, and learning songs of interest. I guide students as a mentor, helping them build confidence and consistency.

Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to understand musical patterns and fix mistakes independently. Accountability is maintained through practice goals, feedback, and regular evaluations. Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Training, Ear Training, and Performance Skills.
