About Harriet
Hi! I'm Harriet, and I'm an english & history student at Warwick University.
I found A Level super enjoyable and was really lucky to have teachers that gave me amazing tips for essay writing and how to close read books.
I'd love to do tutoring as an opportunity to help you find more passion for the subject! When you realise the fun in writing about texts you love, it really becomes send nature, and id love to help spread that mentality :)

I can structure lessons based off what you personally need to work on, but I think main areas of focus should be on possible exam questions and understanding themes of books being studied.
From experience I know that practice paragraphs are really of worth, so we'd be doing a lot of those.
I can help improve close reading skills and, being a history student, help with context study.
Literature I specialise in includes: (best to ask if i cover it though)
- a large selection of classics including Jekyll & Hyde, Dorian Gray, Wuthering Heights, Homer and Frankenstein
- modern novels & plays, such as A Streetcar Named Desire & American Psycho
and many more :)
I can also help with coursework pieces, such as withhow to structure, footnotes, and secondary source advice!
