About Daniel

Hi there! My name is Dan and I studied Medical Science with Policy, Communication & Ethics at UCL. I have worked with pupils of various ages, stages and levels and enjoy helping people achieve their unique goals whether that is an A*/A at A Level, a 7 at GCSE, or entry to a selective school. My lessons are tailored to the needs and preferences of the pupil with a particular focus on putting theory into practice with past exam questions for pupils sitting tests. I have 200+ hours of tutoring experience - with the majority online via Teams. Having this experience of both in-person and online tutoring has enabled me to find the best approaches which work to make sure you get the most out of the sessions. Having attended Wilson’s School, recently named Times No 1 Boys State School from Year 7, and passed the tests for St Olave’s and Sutton Grammar, I am aware of the requirements for the 11+ and am confident tutoring each of Maths, English, and Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Away from tutoring, I enjoy swimming, exploring new places, and watching any and every sport both on TV and in person. University : UCL - Medical Science with Policy, Communication and Ethics, School : A Levels - Biology [A] - Chemistry [A] - Spanish [A] - Maths [A] All GCSEs - English Language [A*] - English Literature [A*] - Spanish [A*] Prizes and Scholarships : Wilson’s School GCSE Examinations Prize Other Qualifications : UKCAT - 3290 with Band 1 SJT BMAT - 16.8 with 8.4 in Section 1.

In preparation for my interviews with several UK medical schools, I applied for an interview practice course I found on a website called Medic Mind. During this course, I was tutored by Dan and it is not an exaggeration to say that he played a major and pivotal role in my successful interviews.
Dan's ,friendliness, enthusiasm and motivation quickly allowed me to feel at ease and also helped me be more confident when speaking to strangers. He was also punctual and well prepared before every lesson to ensure it ran smoothly and we could cover as much as possible. Dan is also able to explain and convey his points clearly which is an excellent quality for any tutor.
Based on the above reasons, I truly believe that Dan would make a fantastic addition to your group.

Daniel was very helpful with preparing me for my medical school interviews (+UKCAT). He was patient and provided support and solutions when faced with difficulties. He was proactive in researching and finding further knowledge about questions that he was unsure of and his answers were to a good standard.
