About Ankit

I summarise myself as an IT project manager and business analyst with 12 years of experience in managing multiple aspects of software life cycle. I have worked across complex IT applications such as SAP, Oracle, Informatica, SQL, QTP, ALM, Macros etc. I have also worked on banking applications such as BankWorks, BOC, SelfServe, IBM Mainframe. Basic computer applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint are a part of my daily job. I have experience in conducting corporate workshops for different organisations related to technologies in IT. Out of passion, I also train students / professionals who wish to make they way in I.T.

About the lesson

Being an IT Engineer, I can easily teach basic skills like Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word along with skills like Testing and Data management to students and aspiring IT professionals. I also have experience in conducting corporate training related to IT. Over and above IT skills, I can also help professionals improve their résumé and train the candidates for interview. I believe that education is a noble profession and I train students to the best of my abilities. I start my session by understanding the requirement and devise a training plan based on the requirement of students. The training is then followed by multiple industry standard tests - most of which are free and optional. I can teach the subject in detail slowly and steadily or I can also provide marathon lecture of 6hrs covering basics of a particular technology. With my experience and education qualification of engineering in IT and MBA, I am confident that I can pick up training job very easily. I am available 7pm to 9pm on weekdays and fully available on weekend.

Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?
My father bought the first computer which I mainly used for playing games. It was fun I knew from that moment that this will be the future.. and 10 years later, it changed the world.
What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?
Introduction of smart phones was the craziest revolution ever. Technology in computer was restricted only till few people, but when the same came on mobile, it spread like anything.
Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.
My main focus has always been to be a techno functional expert. I work as a business analyst who bridges the gap between the business and the technical team. My major domain is in finance.
Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?
Unfortunately none of the techies are my role model but i do love Steve jobs for his innovation and revolutionary work and Bill and Mark for their courageous decision they took during their initial days...
Provide a valuable anecdotes related to your subject or your days at school.
When i was in school, we had computers as optional. I opted that subject thinking i will get to play games. But it turned that we were thought how to operate Microsoft word excel PowerPoint etc. I was so upset taking that subject. But now when i look back i realise that what they thought helped me to develop my foundation.
What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?
IT is designed to make your life easy. You just need to understand it and than its always fun.. 10 years back no one even thought of using smart phone but today everyone learnt it. Computer and technology is the future, better learn it now and enjoy it or be forced to learn for survival.
What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?
Chess, Volleyball, Event management, exploring different countries, culture and people.
What makes you a Superprof in IT?
I have 10+ year of experience in IT industry and have worked on at least 20+ different technologies and multiple domain over and above experience in giving training at organisational level make me a perfect superprof in IT.
