About Richard
During my time as a postgraduate teaching assistant at a UK university, I taught a range of literary modules to undergraduate students, focusing predominantly on nineteenth and twentieth century literature. I have also worked with postgraduate students, taking seminars and workshops on contemporary literature and academic theory.

I offer academic tutoring to undergraduate and postgraduate students studying English and/or American Literature. The tutoring I provide can be tailored to suit each individual’s needs. I can help you get to grips with key ideas in your subject area, guide you in critical thinking, give pointers on essay writing, assistance in structuring your research project, or help you to unpick tricky ideas in critical theory.
I am happy to look at your essays, dissertation, or thesis and guide you in the development of your work. Similarly, if you are just seeking a fresh pair of eyes to look over a project you’re working on, I can do that too.
While my background is in English and American Literature, I am more than willing to provide assistance with writing technique, critical thinking, and proofreading and editing in other areas of academic and professional writing.
