About Cady
I am an English and Philosophy student at the University of St Andrews. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and began assisting students in their essay and creative writing in high school at Phillips Exeter Academy. I will be in London July through August 2019.

For close readings, I work on short annotations to identify themes and critical analyses of important passages. In academic papers, we would review the structure of the essay, identifying the essay thesis and arguments before tackling transitions, sub-theses, sub-arguments, and how to achieve syntactical excellence. Creative writing is far more dependent on the piece presented with, but will be aired out for unnecessary cliches, character development, and, again, syntax.
