About Maddie

I graduated from the University of Rochester with an English, Media and Communications major. I was an editor and writer for our campus newspaper reporting on sports and drafting feature stories. I also worked as a freelance writer on the side.

Now I work in the Communications industry as a Senior Account Executive. I do public relations work for notable tech clients.

About the lesson

My approach is to help others become a better writer and proofreader. I use suggested edits so a person can understand why I made changes.

I encourage reading pieces aloud, walking through edits in real-time and building outlines. This helps writers develop organizational skills and beat writers block. The hardest part about writing is getting started. I help writers start with a clear plan.
