About Emily
I have a BA(Hons) in English Literature from The University of York, and I have since trained and worked professionally as a freelance Theatre Practitioner, Actor and Singer. I also work as a Specialised Teaching Assistant in an SEN School.
I am able to cater for any level and any age, including students with Special Educational Needs.
I believe that no tutoring session should be boring or make you fall asleep. I want to get to know you and how you learn best, so that we can make your sessions fun and engaging. I will do this by figuring out your learning style and going with what works best for you.

I want to teach you because I want you to feel inspired and energised by the beauty of English and everything this subject comes with.
When I teach my students, I aim to show them that English doesn't have to be boring. Even 'dusty old books' are doors into new and exciting worlds!
After an initial chat, I will form a lesson plan which is tailored to each student and their individual needs. I know that when it comes to learning, there isn't a 'one-size-fits-all', so let me help you find what fits.
Each session should last approximately an hour, but I can negotiate different times depending on your needs.
