About Lucy
My name is Lucy and I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge and current master's student at KCL! I have been tutoring for over a year with both GCSE and A-Level students at all different levels of ability. I adore reading, my favourite author is Shirley Jackson, and aspire to show that literature is actually pretty interesting and entertaining once you get past the stress of exams. I consider myself a friendly and understanding tutor whose sole aim is to help students achieve the grades that they deserve. No question is ever silly, no issue too small for me to help with. No matter your level of ability I will meet you where you are and use all my experience to deliver informative, engaging lessons

Whether it be GCSE or A-Level prep work I aim to keep lessons engaging and interesting, allowing for students to find passion for any aspect of the subject which interests them, whilst guiding them towards channelling such interests into higher marks based on the guidelines given by exam boards. I place emphasis on sticking to mark schemes and good essay writing techniques in order to help students who are struggling to pick up marks to get their ideas onto paper. Whether the area of focus for a student is simply getting to grips with what is required in different question types, or helping them find passion and interest in the texts that they are studying, my over a year of tutoring experience and degree level knowledge of the subject will make me a great fit for any student's needs! I have also previously worked with neurodivergent and dyslexic pupils so can cater my lessons to any requirements
