As an English tutor, my mission is to make students feel confident and empowered in their language abilities—whether it’s reading critically, writing effectively, or analyzing literature with depth and creativity. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s individual needs, goals, and pace.
Warm-Up (5 min): A short activity to review the previous lesson or activate prior knowledge (e.g., vocabulary check, grammar drill, or a quote discussion).
Core Lesson (30–35 min): Focused on the day's main objective, like analyzing a short passage, crafting an introduction paragraph, or interpreting symbolism in a poem.
Guided Practice (10–15 min): Student applies the concept with my support—this may include writing, editing, or group discussion.
Wrap-Up and Reflection (5 min): We review what was learned, clarify any confusion, and preview the next steps. I often leave students with a challenge question or reflective prompt to extend their thinking.
