About Shienn RJ

Hello! I’m Shienn RJ.
An English graduate, competitive debater, and public speaker with five years of professional tutoring experience. I specialize in turning hesitant learners into confident, articulate communicators.

Why Learn With Me?

Debate-Driven Approach: Master clear speaking, sharp writing, and active listening through interactive, real-world practice.

Proven Expertise: I don't just teach grammar rules—I teach you how to structure persuasive arguments, present with authority, and write with impact.

Tailored Lessons: Designed for students and professionals looking to excel in academic writing, public speaking, and fluent conversation.

About the lesson

Hello! I’m Shienn RJ. As an English graduate, competitive debater, and public speaker with 5 years of tutoring experience, I help students become articulate, persuasive, and confident communicators in English across speaking, writing, and active listening.

Teaching Method and Techniques

My approach centers on active production and critical thinking. Rather than relying purely on passive grammar drills, I use an interactive, debate-inspired methodology. I train students to structure their thoughts rapidly, expand their vocabulary, and refine their tone. For speaking, we focus on articulation, rhythm, and public speaking techniques. For writing, I teach structural frameworks to construct clear essays and professional copy. For listening, we analyze native audio samples to master subtle nuances and real-world accents.

Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)

1. Warm-Up & Active Listening (10 mins): Interactive discussion or listening activity based on a short audio clip, article, or current topic.
2. Core Skill Instruction (15 mins): Focused breakdown of a specific writing structure, public speaking technique, or complex grammar concept.
3. Guided Practice & Debate Drill (20 mins): Hands-on application through mini-debates, impromptu speaking exercises, or live writing edits with real-time feedback.

4. Review & Actionable Feedback (15 mins): Key takeaways, targeted corrections on pronunciation and sentence structure, and tailored practice tasks.

What Sets Me Apart

With 5 years of hands-on tutoring paired with a background in competitive debate and public speaking, I don't just teach you what to say—I teach you how to deliver it effectively. I bridge academic language skills with real-world communication, giving you the composure to speak under pressure and the skill to write with maximum impact.

Who the Lessons Are For

Middle & High School Students: Seeking academic support in English, essay writing, and public speaking confidence.

College & University Students: Working on academic research, debate skills, thesis defense preparation, and advanced writing.

Professionals & Adult Learners: Wanting to refine their business communication, presentation skills, accent fluency, and
