About Saptarshi
I am Saptarshi, an MA in English from NEHU and a UGC-NET qualified educator currently working as a Guest Faculty at a government college in Assam. I understand the challenges students face because I have recently navigated them myself. My goal is to make English literature and language accessible, enjoyable, and exam-ready for every learner. My Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I believe in teaching for understanding, not just memorization. I use a concept-first approach, where I break down complex literary theories, movements, and texts into simple, relatable ideas. For exam-focused students, I incorporate answer-writing practice, previous year question analysis, and regular feedback. I also encourage active discussion so students learn to think critically rather than just passively listen.
Usual Structure of a Class:
A typical session begins with a quick recap of the previous topic to strengthen retention. We then move into the core topic of the day, explained through examples, summaries, and discussion. In the last 10–15 minutes, we do a short question-answer round or a writing prompt based on what was taught. If the student is preparing for UGC-NET, I integrate MCQs and mock test discussion into this structure.
