I have over 15 years of teaching experience at the collegiate level as well as over 5 years experience as a freelance sports journalist and editor/proofreader. I am also an active literary poet, book reviewer, and independent author of three novels.

I have a MFA (Masters of Fine Arts) in English-Creative Writing with an emphasis in poetry from the University of Notre Dame, and I received my Bachelor's of Arts from Carthage College where I double majored in English and philosophy.
