About Sehlile Melisa

My name is Sehlile. l am a 29 year old English teacher. l completed my BA Hons degree in media and communication. I am a goal oriented person and very ambitious. I see myself as a multifaceted individual and I am always eager to learn and try new things. I'm able to form relationships with people and children. l am dependable, honest, hard working, good listener and kind person. I am full of energy and always have fun and stimulating ideas on how to teach English. Owing to my complexion of TEFL Certificate and my degree. I am able to assist with all aspects of English lessons. I am organised creative and neat.

About the lesson

all my lessons are tailored to individual student needs as l believe each student is unique.l conduct trial lessons to help students find and check their English level through general conversations. These lessons focus on listening to create a close and harmonious relationship so as to understand each other's ideas and communicate well.There are also language lessons which focus on pronunciation, grammar, reading, speaking for all level students. These can be conversational type of lessons [adults] or class structured lessons for kids and young learners.Topics can be suggested according to the student's needs or they can be anything a student wants to learn [anything to make lessons easy and memorable ]After each lesson l do lesson reviews to check on the student's progress and highlight on areas that need improvement. The materials l use include pdfs, audio files, flash cards, image files, quizzes.l design ESL materials and lessons using google docs and strategically select activities such as games and learning objects to teach. My teaching style can best be described as interactive, supportive, and transparent. I encourage my students to have a voice in the classroom, ask questions when they come up, and participate actively in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence. My teaching style include TPR, task projects and communicative language teaching.
