About Kris
I am a fiction writer, literary translator and PhD student researching contemporary Hungarian, American, and Serbian crime literature and film.
While most recently I have taught creative writing classes, I am very passionate about language learning. As a speaker of English, Hungarian, French, and now some Serbian, I can break down concepts according to the similarities and differences of these languages.
I have taught English as a foreign language at a wide variety of levels. However, I believe my lessons will be most effective for intermediate or advanced students, as my Serbian language knowledge is very limited.
I would recommend my lessons for those preparing for standardized exams, or who are looking to improve intermediate/advanced grammar or conversational fluency.

Lessons largely depend on the goals of the student, be that for exam preparation, improved conversation skills, or general language-learning.
I prefer to use creative methods such as fiction writing exercises, or practicing listening and speaking skills via film and music.
*My Serbian knowledge is still basic, thus my lessons would be most useful for intermediate or advanced learners, as the language of instruction would be only English.
(I do speak French and Hungarian fluently, but my ability to explain in Serbian is very limited.)
