About Aubrey
I’m Aubrey Stillerman, an experienced English and History educator with teaching experience across secondary and university settings, a Cambridge CELTA, a Master of Education, a Master of Arts, and a BA in History with a minor in Anthropology.
I believe great teaching is about more than memorising information. It is about helping students develop the skills, confidence, and independence to use what they learn.

My approach
Every learner is different, so lessons are tailored to your goals, level, strengths, and areas for development.
My teaching combines communicative language teaching, structured scaffolding, discussion, authentic materials, formative assessment, and higher-order thinking. I want students not simply to know the answer, but to understand why it is the answer and how they can apply that knowledge independently.
Most importantly, I aim to create a learning environment where students feel supported, respected, and confident enough to ask questions, make mistakes, and take intellectual risks.
