About Me

Hello! I am a dedicated and passionate elementary school teacher with over 19 years of teaching experience. I hold a college degree from Columbus State University and currently teach fourth grade Science and Social Studies.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of varying academic abilities and learning styles. I understand that every child learns at their own pace, and I believe that with patience, encouragement, and individualized instruction, every student can succeed.

I specialize in helping students in Kindergarten through 6th grade strengthen their skills in Reading, Math, English Language Arts, and Writing. I have experience identifying learning gaps, providing targeted interventions, and helping students build confidence in challenging subjects.

As both a teacher and a mother of three, I understand how important it is for parents to know their children are receiving the support they need. I strive to create a positive, welcoming learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.

Teaching is more than my profession—it is my passion! Nothing makes me happier than seeing a child’s confidence grow when they finally understand something they once found difficult. I would love the opportunity to help your child reach their full academic potential!

About My Lessons

I offer personalized, engaging, and supportive tutoring for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade in Reading, Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and Writing.

As an experienced elementary school teacher with over 19 years of teaching experience, I understand that every child learns differently. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and help students develop a love for learning.

My tutoring lessons focus on:

* Reading: Phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and identifying main ideas.
* Math: Number sense, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, problem-solving, and grade-level skills.
* ELA: Grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, vocabulary, and language skills.
* Writing: Sentence formation, paragraph development, creative writing, organizing ideas, and essay writing.

My Teaching Approach

I use individualized instruction, step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and engaging activities to meet each student’s unique needs. Whether your child needs extra support, help catching up, or enrichment to get ahead, I tailor each lesson to their learning level and goals.

I believe learning should be encouraging, positive, and rewarding. My priority is to help every student experience success, gain independence, and feel proud of their progress.
