About Jamie
My name is Jamie, and I have a lot of experience in research-based writing, essay writing, and creative writing (my favorite of the three, of course). I also have some university experience studying in the researched-based honors college. I have a background in tutoring kids in different subjects and ages, ranging from elementary school through middle school; however, English writing and literature will always have my heart.

I work with younger students around the elementary level. (Middle school is also acceptable.) I use a hands on approach, ensuring the students are learning through their own trial and error with guidance, rather than telling them exactly what to do all the time. I like to allow the students to explore on their own.
A typical lesson includes having the student give me an example of how they write. The student can then highlight their strengths and explain what they struggle with. I would then take that information to formulate a specialized lesson plan for that particular student.
I have experience tutoring in different subjects: Spanish, English, Cello, and Piano; thus, I have experience in a variety of teaching environments.
