About Meagan

Hello everyone! My name is Tutor Meagan, and I’m very happy to meet you!”
I am a teacher because I love helping children learn new things especially when something feels tricky at first, and then suddenly… click!
That happy “I get it now!” feeling is my favorite thing in the world.
When I was learning, I also found some things hard.
So I know how it feels to be confused and that’s why I promise to explain things slowly, kindly, and as many times as you need.
I don’t just teach because it’s my job.
I teach because I believe every child is clever in their own way
Sometimes you just need the right teacher, the right time, and a little encouragement.
In our class, you are allowed to:

I’m interested in teaching because I want you to feel proud of yourself not just in school, but in who you are becoming.

About the lesson

“Do you know what makes my English class different?”
In my class, English is not just words in a book.
It’s stories, games, funny voices, and adventures.
We don’t just read stories
we become the characters.
Sometimes we’re heroes.
Sometimes we’re dragons.
Sometimes we’re detectives solving word mysteries!
We play games where learning sneaks into your brain when you’re not even looking.
Suddenly boom! you’re better at English and you didn’t even notice
You’re allowed to:
make mistakes
try again
laugh
be brave
use your imagination
In my class, mistakes are proof you’re learning, not something to be scared of.
I teach English the way your brain loves to learn it:
by talking
by acting
by listening
by playing
by having fun
So English doesn’t feel like work.
It feels like something you’re good at.
And one day you’ll think:
“Hey… English isn’t hard.
English is actually kind of awesome.”
