About Ruby
I graduated from the University of Cambridge in History of Art (hons) in 2022. Prior to attending Cambridge, I achieved three A* at A-Level in English Literature, History and Art. I am an enthusiastic, engaging and committed tutor who encourages my students to express their own critical opinions, working with them to find and express their unique insights in their chosen subject. My focus on developing greater academic and personal assuredness and skill, alongside my keen eye for editing and analysing the strengths and areas in need of improvement of an individual’s work, allows me to gain the best from my students. I am well-placed to provide tuition for students seeking to achieve their full potential at GCSE, A-Level and degree-level standards. My experience in tuition and my strong academic record gives me the interpersonal and academic requirements needed to facilitate my students achieving top marks. Additionally, I mentor students in the university admissions process for humanities subjects, notably for Oxbridge History of Art via personal statement development, interview/examination advice, and improvement in articulation and presentation of knowledge. My tutees describe me as dedicated, patient and willing to go the extra mile and I look forward to further assisting students in reaching their full potential.
