About Kathy
I am currently an ESL instructor for the Union Public School district and have been doing online classes since March 2020. My experience and love for teaching English started over 25 years ago when I taught for two years in Japan. Since that time, I have tutored students in all subjects ranging from Algebra 2 and Latin 2 to Biology, British Literature, and Composition. My favorite is working with ESL students as they grow in their mastery of the English language.

I try to approach to my lessons in a way that connects with the student and their everyday life. I try to include all aspects of language and provide ample opportunity for practice and implementation of any grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary learned. I love to discuss topics that are interesting to my student and find additional resources to expand knowledge and familiarity.
