About Alyssa
I have a degree in Hispanic Studies and a diploma in teaching English as a second language. I took courses in Spanish, Japanese, ASL (American Sign Language) and French which focused on the cultures where these languages are spoken. I know the importance of learning about the culture of my students as it will help me teach them about the cultures that exist in English speaking countries. I have been working as cashier for the past two years and have gained a great deal of patience.

I have learned about various teaching methodologies as part of my program but have not had the opportunity to gain any experience. In terms of vocabulary, I believe realia will be the most useful. In general, practice makes perfect. So, I'd encourage my students to speak, write and read in English as much as possible both in and out of class.
