About Jo-Anne
I am TESOL Certified and have been teaching English in Mexico since 2012. My areas of expertise include
leadership, teaching, training, business communications, lesson planning, writing, inter-cultural awareness, creativity, motivation and feedback.
My heart and soul, however, belong to teaching and the English language. Even as a native speaker, I am continually learning something new and exciting. My goal is to share this enthusiasm and passion with my students.

My teaching methods include humor and patience with rapid results. Classes are highly interactive, and much is expected, but at the student's pace and capability. A typical class is 50 minutes, and is based around a topic. For example, "A day at the beach" focuses on vocabulary that may be used on a sunny afternoon at the ocean.
What sets my teaching apart from other tutors and teachers is that, I am also a student of a second language, so I am well aware of the challenges you'll face and how to overcome those challenges.
I currently teach all ages, from age 3 to age 63 and all levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced, as well as business English, which focuses on individual employment opportunities and advancement.
