About Yamel
I am Yamel. I live in Connecticut with my teenager. I love reading, hiking, listening to music and spending time with my family. I came to the USA in 2009 for the first time. I didn’t know a word of English and it was difficult to find a job. I have been helping families and friends with translating, creating resumes, calling insurances companies, etc. I have worked as a care manager finding resources for my Spanish speaking patients, translating during meetings, appointments, etc. I love people, teaching and helping.
Soy Yamel, vivo en CT con mi adolescente. Me gusta leer, caminar en la naturaleza, escuchar musica y pasar tiempo con mi familia. Vine a USA en el 2009, ahi no sabia nada de Ingles. Fue dificil conseguir trabajo. He ayudado familia y amistades con muchas cosas por su limitacion de Ingles. He trabajado como manejadora de salud buscando recursos para mis pacientes que solo hablan espanol, traduciendo en reuniones, citas, y demas. Me encanta la gente, ensenary ayudar.

Mis classes son para personas que no saben nada de Ingles, yo tengo el don y la paciencia de ensenar con amor y y calma. Yo empiezo con el alfabeto y vocabulario. Trato de hacer las clases divertidas pero a la vez creo un plan para cada session dependiendo de la preferencia de la persona.

Soy tutora en la biblioteca local, tengo estudiantes que solo hablan espanol. Soy una technico siquiatrica en un hospital. Tengo una licenciatura en manejo de salud y una maestria en sicologia.
Me encanta ensenar, aprender con mis estudiantes. Me gusta ser parte del crecimiento en mi comunidad.
My classes are for beginners’ students from Spanish to English. I utilize vocabulary words and the alphabet to start the lesson. I try to make the class fun; however, I create a plan for each session and the plan is according to your preference with the topic you want to start learning first.
I ' m also a tutor at the local library and teach English to Spanish speaking students (they don't know a word of English, they recently came to the USA). I am currently working as a psychiatric technician in Connecticut. I have a bachelor’s in health management, and a Master's in psychology.
I like teaching, and I have a lot of experience translating. I am great with people, I am efficient with everything I do.
