About Maria
I am Portuguese and after being in the UK for the last 16 years I have been working with private and public sector as a Community Language Assistant, Pupil Support Officer, Corporate group lessons and Private Tuition, one two one for all ages from 3 to adults, including small groups
My role has covered a wide spectrum of functionalities. From supporting Portuguese GCSE students improving grammatical understanding, reading and writing skills to support students from Primary to Secondary Schools to access the curriculum through their first language – Portuguese.

From completely beginner to advanced levels my tuition lessons cover the four language skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing. My method is student centred and I plan classes to fit different student needs. I have a wide variety of teaching resources and I try to keep my lessons as engaging as possible.
