About Conan

I am currently a PhD scholar at the University of Exeter, where my research investigates the role of exercise as a therapeutic treatment for vascular disease. I have 3 years post-secondary teaching experience covering topics from exercise physiology, to metabolism, to advanced topics like cardiorespiratory physiology. Throughout my post-secondary career I have upheld my love for learning and I hope to share that passion with my students.

Outside of academia I own my own media production company producing commercial photo and video content for brands and clients around the world. I am also a professional bicycle mechanic working for a UCI continental team in the Netherlands.

I am also fluent in Cantonese and English

About the lesson

I believe that each student is unique and requires an approach tailored to their individual learning style and goals. I aim to make complex concepts accessible by breaking them down into manageable steps, using real-world examples, and encouraging students to develop a deeper understanding rather than simply memorising information.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although sessions can be adapted to suit individual needs and schedules. I have a background in Human Kinetics, specialising in Clinical Exercise Physiology, and am currently completing my dual PhD at the University of Exeter and the University of Queensland. I have three years of post-secondary teaching experience, specialising in exercise physiology, anatomy and physiology, and sport science.

I am particularly suited to supporting secondary school students looking to pursue degrees in medicine or sport science, as well as undergraduate students studying biology, human physiology, exercise science, sport science, and related subjects. Whether you need help understanding challenging topics, preparing for exams, or improving your academic confidence, I will work with you to develop a personalised approach that suits your needs.
