About Syed Haziq
Hi, I'm Haziq, a passionate dance educator, professional choreographer, and performer dedicated to helping students discover their potential through dance.
I hold a Bachelor of Dance (Honors) in Choreography from the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage Malaysia (ASWARA). Over the years, I have gained experience in performance, choreography, entertainment, hospitality training, and event management, allowing me to develop strong teaching, communication, and leadership skills.
My dance background includes Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Traditional Malaysian dance, covering Malay, Chinese, and Indian traditional dance forms. I have taught students of different ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced performers, always adapting my teaching style to suit each individual's goals.
I believe that learning dance should be enjoyable, encouraging, and structured. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing with confidence. Every lesson is planned with clear objectives so that students can see consistent progress while enjoying the journey.
Whether you're preparing for a performance, competition, school event, wedding, university showcase, or simply looking to learn something new, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals with professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm.

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their goals, experience, and learning style. Whether you're learning dance for fitness, competitions, performances, examinations, or simply as a hobby, my classes are designed to help you build confidence while enjoying the learning process.
My teaching combines strong technical foundations with creativity and performance quality. Lessons typically include a warm-up, technique training, choreography, musicality, performance skills, and a cool-down. I also focus on posture, body awareness, stage presence, and self-expression to help students become well-rounded dancers.
Each lesson usually lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's objectives and level.
I hold a Bachelor of Dance (Honours) in Choreography from the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage Malaysia (ASWARA). Throughout my career, I have worked as a professional performer, choreographer, trainer, and event and entertainment manager. I have experience creating performances, training individuals and groups, and developing dancers from beginner to advanced levels.
I teach Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Traditional Malaysian dance, including Malay, Chinese, and Indian traditional dances. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, adults, beginners, intermediate dancers, advanced performers, schools, universities, corporate teams, and anyone who wants to learn dance in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
My goal is not just to teach choreography, but to help every student become a confident, expressive, and disciplined dancer while making every class engaging, inspiring, and fun.
