About Ellis
I am a data scientist, with experience in software development as well. My personal skill set lies within backend development the most (i.e., SQL) but am open and willing to tutor in other programming languages like Java and Python. I also have strong math skills ranging from the basics to calculus.
Outside of the technical realm I have experience tutoring over the last ten years varying in subject and student populous, including students with disabilities. I am accepting of all backgrounds and identities!
My goal as your tutor is that you are able to find confidence in your abilities as a student.

My approach to education is that every person learns differently; I like to make things very individualized to the student. I am a firm believer that every student deserves to have someone who cares deeply about their individual success -accessible education makes all the difference in a student’s life. It is something that I have always been passionate about, and continue to strive for.
To this extent, a typical lesson with me is a one hour session where either I have prepared material in advance to review or there is something that the student is interested in covering.
