Jonathan Davies is a London-based creative producer specializing in storytelling through video production, with a rich background in commercial work and documentaries.

As a filmmaker committed to giving voice to the voiceless, I also provide insights on identifying and approaching hard-hitting, underrepresented topics. I incorporate risk assessment, budgeting, and scheduling exercises to prepare students for the challenges of filmmaking. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, my comprehensive yet flexible approach is designed to empower you to tell compelling stories through the lens.

Jon has been giving me lessons in photography since 2021 and it has been an exceptional journey of learning with him. Having graduated from University of the Arts London, he provides industry standard tips and tricks to aspiring photographers (might I say, at a much cheaper rate).
He has vast experience in filmmaking, and always has a good story of his own to tie his lessons to - he has produced content from Antarctica, Vietnam, Morocco and the Maldives, which easily qualifies him as an adventure photographer also.
One thing that elevates Jon out of competition is his patience. No matter if you’re a pro, or if you’ve just got your camera, he will definitely be able to advise you accoding to your level.

Details About Rates & Tips:
I charge £45 per hour for in-person lessons, allowing for a hands-on, personalized experience tailored to your filmmaking needs. There is an additional £5 travel fee to cover the cost of commuting to your preferred location.
Online lessons are available at a rate of £40 per hour, offering the same high-quality instruction with the convenience of remote learning. Both rates include access to a wealth of teaching material, from software tutorials to project templates, ensuring you have all the necessary resources to excel.
Whether we meet in person or online, each lesson is carefully structured to maximize your learning and creative potential.
Please note that the rates do not cover any third-party expenses such as any editing software (i.e. Adobe) or booking a specific filming location or classroom; these would be additional costs to consider.
