About Tiphaine
Bonjour!
Je m’appelle Tiphaine and I’m here to help you master the French language!
I’m from Paris and have spent the past four years in the UK, where I graduated from King’s College London and the University of Edinburgh with degrees in political science and secruty-related programs!
I’ve always been passionate about helping others learn my native language and culture. As a former student who once struggled with academic stress, I understand the challenges that come with learning something new. My goal is to make your French-learning journey enjoyable and stress-free because I believe in creating a space where students feel supported and motivated.

Whether it is to improve conversational French, to help understand class or in preparation for an exam, I tailor my lessons not only to your level but also to your interests to make the lesson all the more engaging and enjoyable. I have helped over 25 students aged 6-30 from complete beginners to near-fluent in the past 3 years, giving over 550 tutoring lessons on various platforms!
I am familiar with the different exams and exam boards and have helped most students in achieving A and A*. I know the expectations, the common mistakes, and how to succeed in the exam.
I adapt each of my sessions to your needs, ensuring a minimum of grammar each time. Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking - I have exercises ready to improve your skills going from past papers to the typical grammar exercises I would myself do at school back in France.
Classes are conducted online, on Zoom, Google Meet or MS Teams, depending on your preferences. I also use Google Doc so we can simultaneously write and engage in exercises. It also allows the student to go back to what we have worked on previously.
CONFIDENCE is my key objective. French should not be a source of stress, and neither should the lessons you have with me.
