About Gemma
Hi, I'm Gemma! :) I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) in Applied Psychology & Criminology and an MSc in Psychology of Education, alongside extensive professional experience working with young people in the education sector. I have a genuine love for Psychology and want to help students feel confident in the subject, achieve their goals, and hopefully enjoy Psychology as much as I do!

My approach to tutoring is friendly, encouraging and completely tailored to the individual student. I know that everyone learns differently, so I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, getting things wrong and building their confidence in Psychology :)
Lessons are typically one hour and can be adapted around each student's goals. Whether you need help understanding tricky concepts, applying psychological theories and research, improving exam technique, planning essays or revising for upcoming exams, we'll focus our sessions on the areas you find most challenging.
I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) in Applied Psychology & Criminology and an MSc in Psychology of Education. I also have several years of experience working in education across both primary and secondary settings, including providing 1:1 and small-group academic support. This has given me lots of experience adapting the way I explain and teach things to suit different learning styles, abilities and needs.
My Psychology lessons are aimed primarily at GCSE and A-Level students, including students with SEND or additional learning needs. Whether you're finding Psychology difficult, need a confidence boost, or you're aiming for the highest grades, lessons will be adapted to you. Most importantly, I want Psychology to feel interesting and manageable rather than overwhelming!
