About Norma

I’m a Rutgers graduate with over ten years of classroom experience, and I truly believe in my students and their ability to think critically, grow, and succeed. I’m passionate about teaching History and Sociology in a way that connects the past to real life and helps students understand the world around them. My classroom is a space where curiosity is encouraged, voices are valued, and learning feels meaningful.

About the lesson

This class goes beyond textbooks and timelines. In History and Sociology, we explore how the past shapes the world we live in today — and how you fit into it. Lessons connect real events to current issues, culture, identity, power, and social change. You’ll learn how to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and see multiple perspectives.

Expect discussions, real-world examples, debates, and activities that challenge you to speak up and think deeper. This is a space where your voice matters, curiosity is encouraged, and learning feels relevant. You won’t just memorize information — you’ll learn how to understand society, question systems, and make informed decisions as a citizen in the real world.

If you want a class that pushes you to grow, think, and see the world differently, this is the place for you.

Experienced educator with over ten years of experience ready to help you achieve academic goals.
