About Pete

My name is Pete, thanks so much for checking out my profile!

I am a TEFL qualified, native British English speaker . I also have an undergraduate degree in Politics and International Relations and a Master's in Global Political Economy.

I offer conversational practice to those seeking to build upon the English foundation they already have. I would recommend this to students who have at least B1 level English and above. As someone who is currently learning French, I understand that the best way to learn a language is to speak it as often as possible.
Our lessons together will be entirely in English to ensure they are as immersive as possible!

I am also very happy to help you prepare for any more formal exams or assessments you may be taking.

I am interested in all sorts of subjects we can discuss during our classes; current affairs, history, sports, psychology, literature, music and anything else you're interested in! I will ensure we branch out from your areas of particular interest, as I know it's sometimes easier to stick to these when learning a language.

About the lesson

As someone who is currently learning French, I understand that the best way to learn a language is to speak it as often as possible. Our lessons together will be entirely in English to ensure they are as immersive as possible.

Lessons will also largely be tailored to and structured around your personal and professional interests as I find this makes learning far easier and most importantly, fun!

Atefeh

Pete is a friendly, kind, and easygoing tutor who teaches with great patience and adapts his lessons to focus on the skills you need most. As a Persian speaker, learning English can sometimes feel especially challenging, but Pete’s clear explanations and supportive approach made it much easier and more enjoyable. Covering various topics with him has helped me expand my vocabulary, improve my pronunciation, and (most importantly for me) build better comprehension when speaking with native speakers. I highly recommend him!
