About Michael
I have taught ESL in China, S. Korea, and Thailand since 2003. I hold a diploma in TESL from Vancouver Career College in Surrey, and a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University taken at EF Language School in Phuket, Thailand. I am also a mature student currently finishing a general studies diploma at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops.

When I teach, I like to take a student-centered approach with my class, maximizing the time students can practice speaking and listening. I tend to act as a mentor and not as an over-bearing know-it-all. I encourage students to take personal initiative, have fun, and relax when learning.
