About Talia
I know what it’s like to struggle with tough subjects—that’s why I’m passionate about helping others succeed. I’ve won the Math Award (2023) and Chemistry Award (2025) and am part of the IB Diploma Programme, with a 96% in both Math and Chemistry. My lessons are fully personalized to each student’s needs. As a current student myself, I understand the challenges many learners face and can easily relate to their struggles. I focus on identifying and targeting specific areas of difficulty to build confidence and mastery in math and science. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style and materials to match their most effective learning methods—whether through practice problems, visual aids, or step-by-step explanations.
Sample Lesson Plan – Mathematics (1 Hour) Topic: Solving Quadratic Equations Goal: By the end of the session, the student will confidently solve quadratic equations using factoring and the quadratic formula.
Structure: • 5 min: Quick check-in and review of last session’s topic •
10 min: Warm-up with simple factoring problems to assess comfort level
• 20 min: Guided instruction on quadratic equations — step-by-step breakdown of factoring and formula methods
• 20 min: Practice problems together, with increasing difficulty
• 5 min: Wrap-up and brief reflection on what felt easy or challenging; assign a short practice set
