About Silvia
Ciao! My name is Silvia, I'm Italian but I live in London.
I studied Philosophy at uni in Glasgow and St Andrews, but I've been teaching Italian part-time for the past three years.
I have been teaching as a volunteer for Language4Water, and I have taught online for Coffee Break Languages.
I am very passionate about sharing my love for my culture and language. I know Italian can be a difficult language to learn, and that's why I offer simple and effective explanations, plenty of examples, and the possibility to work at your own pace.
I believe in a holistic approach including not only grammar and vocabulary, but also idioms, proverbs, and culture. You will be fully immersed in the Italian culture so that you can speak like a real Italian!

I usually include a mix of vocabulary and grammar, with practice in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. You will learn idioms, culture, and how to sound like a real Italian!
Lessons are typically 1 hour each, and my lessons are open to every level and age.
I have been teaching Italian online and in person for three years now for different companies.

Silvia is a competent, engaging, and reliable teacher. Our sessions together, which she tailored to my current level (intermediate) and learning preferences, gave me a confidence boost and helped me get a better sense of Italian grammar and syntax.
