About Reiko
Born in Africa then moved to UK with my family when I was 3 grew up there until the age of 12 , I spent 40 years in Japan educated and graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in linguistics from Kyoto university of foreign studies. I am a 51year-old mum of two children both in secondary school. I’m located in north west Melbourne. moved from Japan in 2017. I focus on creating classes to your level ,abilities and requirements. I have experience in teaching for 22 years,as a Japanese teacher, language instructor, corporate interpreter , and English teacher , (ESL) from students from 4 years old to 78 years old students. I hold a work with children check WWCC card. My hobby is karate. Style is shitoryu. Currently black belt, first dan holder and karate sub instructor. Hope to get to meet as many students in the near future.

Reiko is a wonderful, caring person and professional tutor. She is able to cater to the individuals needs and skill level. I have no hesitation in recommending Reiko.
I've attended Reiko's Japanese classes since 2009 and can't recommend her highly enough. She is very knowledgeable (obviously, being Japanese), very patient and works with me at my speed. She helps me to understand not just the language, but the cultural context of when certain phrases are appropriate and when they are not. From beginners to business people wanting to do business in Japan I recommend Reiko very highly.
