About Jodie

My name is Jodie, and I am based in Ireland. I am an experienced and passionate English teacher who loves helping students build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve meaningful results through supportive and engaging lessons.

I have many years of experience providing English grinds for Junior and Leaving Certificate students. My grinds are tailored to each student’s needs, with a strong focus on exam skills, clear understanding of the material, and steady improvement in confidence and performance.

I am also TEFL certified and have extensive experience teaching English to learners of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. I cover all areas of English, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and aim to make lessons practical, encouraging, and enjoyable for every student!

About the lesson

Each lesson is carefully tailored to the student’s skills, goals, and learning preferences. Whether you are a complete beginner, an advanced learner, or looking to improve your conversational English, I strive to make lessons clear, structured, and enjoyable, so students feel supported and motivated as they learn.

I also provide English grinds for Junior and Leaving Certificate students, with a strong focus on making course material easy to understand and relevant. I aim to present content in an engaging way while building exam confidence, strong language skills, and steady academic progress.

I place great importance on keeping lessons interesting and interactive, while ensuring explanations are clear and accessible. As someone who speaks Dutch and some Croatian, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and work to explain concepts in a way that truly makes sense for each student.

Perfect! Jodie is an excellent English teacher. She is incredibly dedicated and kind throughout the learning process. Her teaching methodology is very dynamic and personalized. Since my native language is Spanish, Jodie helps me understand the pronunciation of English words and their meanings.
