About Sowmya

I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science and have 15 years of teaching experience. I am passionate about teaching Mathematics and helping students develop strong conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts through clear, step-by-step explanations and personalized guidance. I adapt my lessons to each student's learning pace and academic needs.

I tutor students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Precalculus, College Algebra, and SAT Math.

My goal is to make Mathematics easy to understand and enjoyable while helping students build confidence and become independent problem solvers.

I offer one-to-one online tutoring and in-person classes at my home in Celina, Texas.

I offer personalized Mathematics tutoring for students across different academic levels.

- Elementary School (Grades 3–5) Fundamental mathematical concepts, arithmetic, fractions, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.
- Middle School (Grades 6–8): Pre-Algebra, foundational Mathematics, ratios, proportions, integers, and introductory Geometry.
- High School (Grades 9–12): Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Precalculus, and AP Precalculus.
- Test Preparation: SAT Math, including problem-solving strategies, time management, and practice with different question types.

5. Online and In-Person Classes

I offer personalized one-to-one online tutoring for students anywhere, as well as in-person tutoring at my home in Celina, Texas.

Every student has a different learning pace, academic background, and set of goals. I tailor my teaching approach accordingly, providing the guidance and practice each student needs to make steady progress.

My ultimate goal is to make Mathematics understandable, engaging, and enjoyable while helping students develop the knowledge, confidence, and problem-solving skills they need to succeed.
