About the Role
My main purpose is to pass on my Mathematical wisdom and ensure that students excel in their academic studies. I will ensure that students will have a good guide on the correct thought processes whilst engaging with all Mathematical work and teach the all Mathematical concepts inside and out in a way that is easy to understand and ensures the best retention of this knowledge.
Benefits & Culture
People enjoy working with me because I have a kind nature and will be very patient and understanding to all students learning abilities and progression speed. I am an all-around friendly easy-going person who can very easily adapt and get along with people with a vast range of personality types.
I have a strong passion regarding teaching. I have already completed a few placements and so I have had experience teaching in schools and engaging and helping students with their learning. I enjoy having a good work-life balance between my university studies, working as a tutor, going to the gym playing sports, listening to music and spending time with friends.
The huge benefits that you will gain from my services are that I will make it my main goal to excel your Mathematical learning and broaden your range of Mathematical concepts and understanding in areas that you are seeking help with, areas that interest you and areas that I believe are valuable.

Duties & Responsibilities
My duties will be to ensure that I mark all the work completed in our sessions and all homework that has been set by myself and mistakes have been outlined and clearly explained to students so that they will know exactly where they were incorrect and the reasons why their answers were incorrect so that their mistakes will not be repeated. Another main duty is to explain Mathematical concepts very clearly to students and to show students step-by-step how exactly to get solve problems and how to obtain correct answers and also explain the reasons why those answers are correct so that students can begin to identify patterns with concepts and answers and they can be able to start to see the correct thought processes and concepts themselves. Another main duty is to supervise students whilst they are completing work in the sessions with me and make sure they are on the right track. I will still be letting them have a full attempt at it for the purposes of them improving their thinking and learning, and at the end I will be correcting their work and praising their correct work and helping them improve in the areas they are struggling in by explaining why a particular answer may be incorrect or what the incorrect thought processes were that led to a wrong answer.
Length of lesson
Usually, in order to ensure maximum retention of knowledge and academic growth, lessons of durations of 2-3 hours are recommended. However, you are free to choose whatever hours you wish.
Skills & Experience
I have tutored hundreds of students over the years and have found that Mathematical abilities vary quite a lot between students. I have taught private students both one-on-one and a few students at a time and also in tutoring centres both one-on-one and groups of students. Students who are from tutoring centres usually require a little bit more discipline that private students. I enjoy teaching both kinds as it has given me a wide range of experiences in my teaching and tutoring career!!
I am currently finishing my 'Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) Majoring in Mathematics' course at Macquarie University.
Who my lessons are for
My lessons are for students of all ages and in all Year Levels. Ranging from Kindergarten all the up through all the Years of Primary School, High School and all the Years of University degrees.
