About Imran
Hi, I’m Imran, a qualified secondary school Maths teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. I currently work as a Lead Practitioner in a secondary school, where I support students and teachers to achieve their best.
I’m passionate about helping students understand Maths rather than simply memorising methods. I break difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps and adapt my teaching to suit each student’s individual needs, ability and learning style.
I want to tutor because I know that with the right explanation, encouragement and support, students can make huge progress and develop much greater confidence in Maths. Whether your child is struggling with the basics, aiming for a higher GCSE grade, or simply wants to build confidence, I can help them reach their potential.
My lessons are friendly, supportive and focused, with plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions, practise and learn from their mistakes.
I offer Maths tutoring, particularly for students preparing for GCSEs, and can provide lessons online or in person depending on location.
My aim is simple: to make learning less stressful, build confidence and help every student achieve more than they thought they could.

Experienced Secondary Maths Teacher | GCSE Maths Specialist
I am an experienced secondary school Maths teacher with around 20 years of classroom experience and a BSc (Hons) Mathematics from the University of Leeds.
I specialise in GCSE Maths, including both Higher and Foundation, with particular expertise in Edexcel, AQA, Eduqas and OCR. My tutoring focuses on building confidence, identifying gaps in understanding and helping students make genuine progress towards their target grade.
Whether your child is struggling with the basics, aiming for a Grade 4/5, or pushing towards Grades 7–9, I provide clear, structured explanations tailored to their individual needs.
I currently teach Maths in a secondary school and bring real classroom experience, knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and a strong understanding of what students need to succeed in their exams.
