About Adil
Hi, I'm Adil! I'm a full-time Chemical Engineer working in the nuclear industry and hold a First Class Master's degree (MEng) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester.
My academic background, combined with my professional engineering experience, has given me a strong understanding of Maths, Chemistry, Physics and their practical applications in industry.
Having completed a demanding engineering degree and progressed into a highly technical industry, I understand the challenges students can face when learning complex subjects. I am passionate about making these subjects more accessible, helping students build confidence and develop the problem-solving skills needed to succeed academically.
I also have previous experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students, helping them develop their understanding of Maths and Science, strengthen their problem-solving skills and prepare for exams. Combining this tutoring experience with my academic qualifications and professional engineering background allows me to offer lessons that connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
I offer tutoring across GCSE, A-Level and university degree levels, including specialist Chemical Engineering modules. My aim is to create a friendly, supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, tackling difficult topics and progressing at their own pace.
Whether you're preparing for important exams, looking to improve your grades or seeking additional support with university-level engineering, I'm committed to helping you achieve your academic goals.

My approach to tutoring is to make complex subjects easier to understand by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps and relating theory to real-world applications.
As a full-time Chemical Engineer working in the nuclear industry, with a First Class MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, I have a strong academic and practical background in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering.
My teaching approach:
- Personalised learning: I tailor lessons to each student's ability, learning style and academic goals, identifying areas where they need additional support.
- Step-by-step explanations: I break down challenging concepts and work through examples to build understanding and confidence.
- Exam preparation: I use practice questions, past papers and exam techniques to help students apply their knowledge and prepare for assessments.
- Real-world applications: Drawing on my engineering background, I demonstrate how mathematical and scientific principles are used in industry.
- Progress tracking: I identify areas for improvement and adapt future lessons to help students achieve their goals.
Lesson structure and duration
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although 90-minute and two-hour sessions can be arranged for more advanced topics or intensive exam preparation.
I aim to establish each student's current understanding, explain the relevant concepts, work through problems together and finish with independent practice to reinforce their learning.
Who my lessons are for
I offer tutoring for GCSE and A-Level students studying Maths, Chemistry and Physics, as well as university students studying Chemical Engineering and related subjects, including Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer, Process Integration, Nuclear Engineering and Process Engineering (please feel free to ask about other university modules).
Whether you're working towards your GCSEs, preparing for A-Level examinations or tackling challenging university modules, my aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of the subject and become more confident in your abilities.
