About Alicia
I teach piano because I want children to genuinely love music and not just tolerate it. Growing up, I saw so many kids around me who hated piano lessons and haven't touched a piano since. I don't want that for my students.
I've played piano for more than 15 years and have more than 4 years of teaching experience. I completed my ABRSM Grade 8 in 2019, and after finishing, I honestly thought I'd never play again; piano felt like a chore rather than something I loved. But when I started playing music I actually cared about, everything changed, and that's the experience I want to give to my students.

My lessons are built around strong basics and foundations, but I also let each child explore the kind of music they're genuinely interested in. So while we cover classical technique and theory, we also dive into pop music and other genres; whatever gets the child excited to sit down and play. My goal is for students to finish a lesson wanting to keep playing, not counting down until it's over.
I currently teach children aged 4–12, with lessons running 30–45 minutes depending on the child's age and level.
