About Shannon
I am currently in the final stages of completing my PhD in Psychology with a focus on language and cognitive development in infancy and early childhood. For my undergraduate Psychology degree, I graduated with first-class honours (78 mark average) and I received the Mike Cawthorne award for best undergraduate dissertation (84 marks) at the University of Buckingham. Additionally, I received a grade of 82 in Research Methods and Statistics and 86 in Multivariate Statistics modules. During my PhD, I taught on Psychological Research Methods and Statistics modules and provided drop-in sessions for third-year dissertation students. On another tutoring platform, I have completed over 600 hours of tutoring and received all 5 star reviews. These sessions included supporting students to design their experiments (e.g., questionnaires, experimental tasks, interviews), conducting and interpreting statistical tests in Jamovi, JASP and SPSS (e.g., t-tests, correlations, ANOVAs, linear regressions, Cronbach's alpha, factor analysis) and producing scientific reports. I have also worked extensively as a Postgraduate Research Assistant and published 10 scientific articles in journals such as Nature Human Behaviour, Infancy and Journal of Early Childhood Education.

I currently tutor psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level. For example, I am available to help students with statistics (on SPSS, JASP and JAMOVI), assignment planning and providing feedback to improve essays, reports and dissertations. Many of my previous students on other platforms have reported receiving their highest grade so far, increasing by a grade classification or receiving their first distinction or first-class grade since beginning tutoring with me. I believe that it is important to tailor tutoring approaches based upon the tutee and what works best for them. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
