About Courage
I am Courage, an undergraduate student of Civil Engineering in a Federal University. Teaching is Fun, teaching is life! The idea of being able to convey relevant information and impart knowledge is always a thrilling experience for me. I am very likable and easy to flow with. I am sensitive to the feelings and reactions of my students concerning my style of teaching and adopted strategies. I am quite flexible.

For effective discharge of my duties as a tutor, I ensure to adopt the Triple E framework; Engagement, Enhancement & Extension. ENGAGEMENT: This assures that my students are focused on assignment and given goals with less distraction plus a better motivation for students. This could be achieved by using strategies such as; Guided practice, Teacher monitoring, co-engagement, creating a mentor context, eliciting previous knowledge, etc. ENHANCEMENT: This guarantees that students understand concepts easier and better by changing the way they think about the course in view. This could be ensured by adopting strategies like active listening, self-reflective practices, graphic displays, personalization, share-aloud, etc. EXTENSION: This is where I encourage students to strive to put into daily practice the knowledge and skills they learn while in class and build on it thence. This would be undertaken via processes like; attempting real-world issues, engage students in authentic discourse with others, role playing, etc. My preferred length for a mathematics lesson holds for 50 minutes. I was once a secondary school teacher in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science for 2 years, before teaching as a primary school teacher for 2 more years amidst copious one—to-one tutoring on science subjects as well as small or large groups; both online via platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram and Zoom and physical teachings. My lesson is tailored to meet the needs of students between the ages of 10-21. The max level - for effectiveness' sake - being the final year of Senior Secondary school.
