About Elif
I am a dedicated SEN teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching in specialist educational settings, and I continue to support learners in this field today. My passion for SEND is both professional and personal, as I have a brother with SEN, which has shaped my empathetic and committed approach. I pride myself on being patient, supportive, and adaptable, creating a positive learning environment where every student feels understood and empowered to reach their full potential.

I provide personalised, one-to-one SEN tutoring tailored to each learner’s individual needs, with a strong focus on achieving the outcomes set out in their Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs). I also offer support beyond lessons, including attending Annual Review meetings and parents’ evenings to ensure consistency between home and school. In addition, I specialise in Functional Skills English and Maths, offering targeted preparation informed by my experience as both a teacher and examiner, ensuring students understand exactly what is needed to achieve a pass. My lessons are structured, adaptable, and designed to build confidence, independence, and key academic and life skills.
