About Aiden

I want to teach because I want to help people become the best versions of themselves. I want to inspire younger students so that grades never hold them back from pursuing any career they want. I do this by trying my best to guide them into receiving the best grades possible. I understand that students often want guidance to better structure their own personal revision, and that’s exactly what I aim to provide. With me, you don’t just gain a tutor who helps within the session — you gain someone who supports you with independent learning and any questions you have about your future.

About the lesson

My name is Aiden, and I’m a Medicine student at the University of Manchester with an A in Maths, an A in Chemistry, a B in Biology, and an A on my EPQ on The Negative Impacts of Performance-Enhancing Drugs in Sport: Consequences, Influences, and Alternatives.

My approach: I gather an idea of each student’s personal understanding, strengths and weaknesses in their subject, and create a personalised approach to best improve their scores and understanding as much as possible. I keep a respectful and friendly environment with the student so they themselves want to learn, which in my opinion is the best way to improve scores.

Lesson length: Sessions typically run for an hour, though I’m happy to do two-hour sessions if that suits a student better.

Experience: I’ve been tutored myself since I was 12 years old, so I know first-hand, from the student’s perspective, the best approaches to learning — how to gauge someone’s ability and personalise the experience for each student, and what students actually appreciate. I’ve also put this into practice as a Maths Mentor for Year 7 SEN students at Comberton Village College, helping them build both confidence and core skills.

Who it’s for: I tutor GCSE and A-level students in Maths and Chemistry.

I highly recommend my nephew Aiden. He is knowledgeable, patient, and has a great ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and in a way that is easy to understand. He is attentive to individual needs and can adapt his teaching style accordingly. I believe his patience and approachable nature will help students build both their understanding and confidence in maths.

Aiden was super helpful to me with my stem subjects. I was really lacking in confidence throughout my GCSEs but he really put me at ease and helped me achieve the grades I needed when it didn’t look possible. Thanks so much!!
