About R Aaron
When does an actor learn to get better at the craft? You have to be a good actor to get a role so you can learn to be a good actor. Catch 22. Instead of family and friends saying, “You were wonderful, dear,” at the end of a show, what other feedback does the young actor get? Worse, the talented actor is often ignored by the director because he/she is dealing with the “problems” in the cast.
I've been coaching actors since the early 90's. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I've never met anyone better than I at taking an actor and raising the level of his/her performance. As I continue to teach, I find myself saying and doing the same things with each student, which is slowly forming into its own unique technique. I’ve had great success with StageCoach Theatre Company in Ashburn, VA and Secret Garden Children’s Theater in Stirling, VA. Nothing brings me more joy.

Beware of the traditional actor training or those claiming to know their techniques. Much of it is selling you on the idea of a mystical "method" with no real practical application.

Aaron has taught and directed acting to students at my Children's Theater. He has both creative and constructive ideas about how to better an actor's performance. He is knowledgeable in many facets of the theater world, not only in performance but in costuming, special effects, and mask-making as well.
