About Andrew
As a professional actor with over 20 years of experience, I know what it takes to be successful on stage. And I've spent the last 10 years passing that knowledge on to students of all ages. Audition coaching, scene study, rehearsal help, improvisation, everything I do is aimed towards making sure you give the best performance you can.
Acting is tapping into your ability to pretend and imagine, and that's my approach. We analyze the piece, discuss how and why the character feels the way they do, and then craft a believable performance based on the student's own experiences and their ability to imagine themselves in other situations. It's practical, it's performance-oriented, and most importantly, it's fun. And it works.

I have always enjoyed performing for kids, and shortly after I started performing professionally, I got the opportunity to direct at various summer camps. That led to a love of directing and instructing, both children and adults. I find that instruction through preparing fire a performance of some kind offers the best and most lasting understanding of the craft of acting
I am a professional actor with over 20 years experience in stage performing, both for adult and youth audiences. I studied acting by performing and spent a year studying at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training in Florida, where I was introduced to several methods of acting instruction. I took the best of these and created my own way of finding character. It is this system I use with my students.

Assessing the student's skill through the piece they bring to me, helping the student analyze the piece and discuss the life of whatever character they are portraying as laid out in the piece. Text analysis and imagination are my main tools.
All kinds from 3rd grade through adult.
