About Keyana elaine
I love the theater and everything art centered. I am a natural educator and my love for acting and coaching enhances this. I love thinking outside of the box and helping my students learn who they are and all of the amazing qualities that they have. My goal and aim is to build confidence and help guide my students towards greatness. It is an honor and privilege that I don't take lightly.
I enjoy every aspect of coaching and teaching. What I love most is the fun, and seeing my students embrace their uniqueness and step into their power. I love seeing the light in their eyes when they know they've mastered a skill, or killed a monologue, or remembered every line, every cue, and lived in the moment. Oh it's a beautiful thing and I think I tear up each time.
I studied vocal production and theater at the Milwaukee Higschool of The Arts for 4 years. I have written and acted in a stage play entitled " Secrets" ( 2008 Jackson, MS). I am the Theater and Acting Coach for a youth centered theater camp. ( 2015-current, DayStars Theater Camp Jackson MS) I am an entertainer/Performer. I perform locally in my own band and also with other groups and bands throughout the country as background and lead vocals.

Typically I start by playing a few games just to break the ice and loosen both of us up. I then begin asking them abt themselves, what they're trying to accomplish, and what they would like to get out of our sessions. Next, I go over stage directions, improvisation activities, monologues, or songs ( for those who do musical theater or want voice training), I end with discussing how they felt the session went and we go over some techniques and things to try for our next session.
